From rock climbing at the renowned Mt French Frog’s Buttress to conquering local mountains like Mt Barney, we’ve got adventure covered.

Rock Climbing

Frog Buttress is a cliff on the north-west side of Mount French in the Moogerah Peaks National Park near Boonah.

There are 400 established climbing routes and though a small cliff by world standards, it is formed of superb rhyolite columns which provide challenging crack climbing.

Grades range from 4 to 32 on the Ewbank Scale.

Climbing is best in winter, as during the summer months it quickly becomes too hot to spend much time on the rock, and midday climbing is not recommended.

A good strategy is to get in a morning climb, and then head off to a local pub or cafe in Boonah for some refreshment!

Mountain Biking

Try out the world class mountain bike track at the Mt Joyce Recreation Park.

Less than half an hour from Boonah, the network provides trails for cross country, all mountain, downhill and four cross riders.

There is a range of trails are available, targeting the different skill sets of beginners through to very experienced mountain bike riders.

Mountain Climbing

With access to the mountains of the Main Range National Park, Moogerah peaks National Park and Mt Barney National Park, there are plenty of options for mountain climbing.

We operate two helicopters: a Bell 47 (two passengers) for joy flights and a Robinson R44 (three passengers) for joy flights, wedding transfers, airport transfers, helicopter wine tours and scenic tours around Ipswich and the Scenic Rim.
